Getting rid of old paint

Need to get a couple of old cans of paint out of the garage? Yolo County is having a hazardous waste drop-off day on Saturday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you live in Yolo County, you can bring up to 125 pounds or 15 gallons of assorted hazardous waste to the landfill off Road 102 (Poleline Road). Remember you can always dispose of empty paint cans with your other trash. Make sure the can is empty, completely dry, and leave the lid off. Both metal and plastic cans can be recycled with your other recyclables.
